Mrs. Burmeister is beginning her second year of full-time ministry at Our Savior Lutheran Church and School and her seventh year serving the Our Savior community overall. She teaches 7th/8th grade Religion and leads OSL’s youth group, which gathers for Bible study, fellowship, service projects, and special events designed to help students grow in their faith.

In addition to her work with middle school students, Mrs. Burmeister oversees the school’s religion curriculum and helps lead faith formation programs throughout the church, including Theology Club, Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, and small groups.

She earned her B.S. in Education from Martin Luther College in 2011, with studies in Secondary English Education and Religious Instruction for Lutheran schools. In 2026, she completed her M.A. in Theology and Director of Christian Education certification through Concordia University Irvine. Before entering full-time ministry, she also gained more than five years of experience in social work and spent seven years as a full-time mother.

Outside of work, Mrs. Burmeister enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, running, reading classic literature and mysteries, and relaxing in her backyard hammock. She and her husband, Mitch, have lived in Louisville since 2011 and have four children, all of whom attend Our Savior Lutheran School.
